Jennifer López se manifiesta en contra de las leyes migratorias

Jennifer López se ha caracterizado por ser una mujer exitosa en la industria de la música latina, gracias a que pudo dar el salto y triunfar principalmente en Estados Unidos. Recientemente la cantante se ha manifestado en contra de las leyes migratorias en las que el gobierno estadounidense está separando a niños de sus padres y encerrando a los menores de edad en jaulas, dándoles un trato inhumano.

Recientemente en Twitter, la cantante expresó que “permanecer en silencio no es una opción”, ya que recientemente en sus redes sociales, la intérprete expresó que no se imagina lo que se siente el hecho que le arranquen a tus hijos de tus brazos. Además expresó que le parece injusto que Estados Unidos ha sido un país que ha crecido gracias a sus inmigrantes y que ahora de repente les sean cerradas las puertas a todos aquellos que han llenado a esa nación de riqueza, cultura, música, etc.

Jennifer mencionó: “Esto se trata de los derechos humanos básicos y la decencia. Si te importan los niños, ten cuidado con la falta de transparencia sobre esta exhibición desastrosa, a la vista del mundo en general, te animo primero a que te pongas al corriente de la situación.”

Reading the news about the separation of children from their families, I can’t help but think about my own children. I cannot fathom a world where they would be ripped from my arms, taken to a place no better than a prison far from home. I feel we will never forget this moment in time. Bearing witness to these atrocities and that’s what they are, I can say for sure, remaining silent is not an option. As a Latino, and as you know very well, a proud Bronx born Puerto Rican American, we and the people of all different races, roots, and culture have enriched this country. But the recent rhetoric and constant dismissal of what we bring to the table has to stop. This is about basic human rights and decency. If you care about children, have concern for the lack of transparency about this disastrous display, in full view to the world in general, I encourage you first to get caught up on the situation. Next, call your congressperson and demand an answer, but I also want you to remain hopeful—hold fast to hope, faith and Love. We first need to admit we have a problem before we can heal it. We cannot focus on the evil, we must push towards unity and get to a healing place. ITS ALL IN OUR HANDS. Supporting one another in these troubled times, we can remain on the right side of history: the side where children are safe and in their parents arms. Los tweets y publicaciones de la cantante se produjeron luego de que el Presidente Donald Trump cambiara de opinión con respecto a la ‘Ley de Tolerancia cero’  que fue a probada en mayo pasada y la cual fue revertida el miércoles pasado, misma que permitía que los niños fueran separados de sus padres. Hasta ese día un total de 2 mil 300 niños habían sido separados de sus familias.
